Error Message

Brief Description:

Receive "Document has been deleted" error during migration

Subject:

Error: Error: unable to open response document in view: Meetings: Document has been deleted

Problem:

The migration hangs for long periods of time while it says it's counting folders. The migration log contains multiple entries of the following error.

Error: Error: unable to open response document in view: Meetings: Document has been deleted

Resolution:

The user's mail file is corrupt. Perform the following tasks to correct:
  1. Using the Mail Retention ID, review the calendar view and confirm/spot check documents by opening from view.
  2. Perform standard maintenance on mail file:
  3. compact with flags -i -c -d -K
  4. fixup with flags -F (and -J if transaction logging is used)
  5. updall with flags -R
  6. Migrate the user's mail file again.

If it's not possible to run these tasks on the mail file, then another solution is to create a new database copy of the mail file. This will remove the corrupt documents from the new database. You can then modify CMT Universal to migrate from the new copy using the steps in this article:
