Notification emails are not being delivered to end users Part II

Problem:

By default, the SMTP receive connector of Exchange 2010 will reject messages submitted by well known accounts, such as Administrator. If you are using Administrator within the notification configuration, these messages are likely being rejected by the connector.

Resolution:

The easiest way to resolve this issue is to drop the E2E database within SQL, and re-run the configuration helper utility to re-specify an alternate account for notifications.
You may also manually editing the C:\Program Files\BinaryTree\E2E\MCP\e2emcp.exe.config file to change the notification account, but in this case, the password would be stored in plain text. If electing this option, you should be sure that the notification account has very limited rights within your environment.
